Hi Jerry, I’m not sure if you will remember me. My name is Chris. We met after the DMB show in Irvine back in September. I was the guy who gave you the Kenny Taylor Band tshirt and told you my story of flooding the Berkeley DMB show with Kenny Taylor shirts, beach balls and hackey sacs. At any rate, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to talk with me. I had no idea who you were, but the sparkle in your eye and pride in your voice as you told me you were “Jerry…the Bus Driver” told me I had just met a legend. A few days later the curiosity got the best of me and I googled” jerry the bus driver” and found your book, which I purchased immediately. I can truly say that I enjoyed every page of your book. Some of it made me laugh, sometimes cringe, and it even brought a tear to my eye a few times. Funny how some people are just drawn to the music industry. I actually build custom guitars in California when I am not out promoting Kenny Taylor. I almost felt a personal connection reading the book a week after meeting the author. Kinda surreal, you know. Anyway, I also delve into writing from time to time. Mostly screenplays and television shows, but after finding the Cowboy Buddha site, I almost feel compelled to try my hand at prose writing. Maybe start with a short story or two that have been bouncing around in my head for years. Any advice, comments, or warnings would be welcomed.
